In late 2016, a guys trip to watch the Dallas Cowboys play at their AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas, led to an after game celebration dinner with close friends. Cousins Smith St.Juste and Peter Medoit started a candid conversation about the space they were in and the food they were eating. At one point they looked at each other and Smith said, “we need something like this in Stamford”. Peter looked back, smirked and said simply, “let’s stop talking about it, and just do it”. Upon returning back to Connecticut, Smith reached out to close friend Harold J Felix who had always been supportive and embraced the idea of opening an establishment such as this.

The idea had been crafted for over a decade and a half, and the goal was to provide guests with a truly memorable experience. The three owners believe the approach should be simple, they all had a passion for pure flavor, quality ingredients, and for creating an atmosphere that is convivial, approachable, and a haven for people who simply love food. This would be a restaurant serving Great American Cuisine infused with flavors from around the Caribbean. They wanted to serve guests from all over including those who would be open minded, adventurous, and inquisitive about food. So Chef St.Juste created a menu suitable for all taste buds. The food of the Caribbean Islands represents the mélange of cultures that have influenced it. Dishes have flavors from various cuisine styles from around the world, including African, Indian, American, Spanish and Chinese. They also wanted to create a space that was Architecturally appealing in style that went with the theme of restaurant. A space that had soft lighting, music, and great décor to create a sense of ambiance that each guest would experience.

The La Perle family looks forward to having you over to enjoy and come back time and again for Lunch, Dinner and even Brunch which is served on the weekends. You will not find another full service restaurant in the area that serves great American Cuisine with Caribbean Flavors quite like this.
